Attending a wedding is such a wonderful way to celebrate love and to create beautiful and lasting memories—not just for the couple, but for yourself too!  As guests you have been invited to help make the day extra special.

Here are some fun and thoughtful tips to help you make the most of the day and ensure everything goes to plan.

RSVP Promptly

As soon as that invitation drops on your doormat or pings into your inbox the wheels are set in motion!  Make sure you try to respond as soon as possible - certainly within two weeks.  This helps the couple ensure everything runs smoothly from seating plans to catering.  If you have any dietary requirements let them know so that they can accommodate you without a hitch.

Gift Giving

Choosing the perfect gift is an opportunity to show the couple how much they are loved and how thrilled you are for them on their special day.  A personalised or handmade gift adds special meaning and thoughtfulness.

Dress to Impress

If there is a dress code do try and adhere to it as much as possible - it will ensure that you blend into the general theme of the wedding.  No one should be standing out on the day apart from the Bride! 

Keep Travel As Stress Free as Possible

Plan ahead for travel to the event - we don't want any last minute stress.  Why not make a weekend of it ?  Leave plenty of time to change and prepare for the day - and night - ahead!

Show Up on Time

Everyone knows this - it is key to ensure that you arrive on time - whether it be a church, chapel, Registry Office whatever the venue - being early ensures no awkwardness and gives you chance to breathe in the atmosphere of the whole event without being flustered! 

Cheer them on!

Your excitement and involvement means so much ! Smile, laugh, applaud and it's most definitely allowed to shed a happy tear or two during the vows or when the happy couple seals it with a kiss.  Your joy adds so much more to the atmosphere and feel of the day.

The Reception

Weddings are such a fun way to meet new people.  You all have something in the common from the get go.  Engage with the people on your table - enjoy the day together.  Who knows ?  You may leave with new friends at the end of it.

Dancing 

Getting on that dance floor is a must - just let loose and make some memories while celebrating.   A wedding is the perfect excuse for some Dad Dancing!  No judgement just good fun whilst making memories.

Snap Thoughtful Photos

If you get a chance and without gong to overboard - why not try to take some candid snaps on your phone.  Share your best ones with the couple - they are sure to love seeing moments they may have missed.
