The Beauty of Browsing

Many of our customers ask why some of our products are only available in our stores in Hungerford, Alresford, Haslemere and Stockbridge. The simple answer is that we adore shopping, as do our customers, and sometimes surfing the web is brilliant but sometimes it’s just no substitute to actually visiting our shops, seeing our beautiful collections and falling in love with something.

Web shopping also doesn’t allow you to visit a new town, meet a friend for coffee or lunch and turn shopping into an experience rather than just ticking off something on your shopping list. 

Another reason that some of our collections are available exclusively in store is that we buy many pieces in very small numbers; some are hand crafted so aren’t mass produced, some are so special they can only be appreciated when you see and feel them and many are brands exclusive to our shops.

 Many of our customers also love to find unique pieces and appreciate the fact that they can find something at Roxtons that can’t be found on every High Street in the country or through a search on Google.

The doom mongers would have us believe that everyone has fallen out of love with traditional shopping but the reality is that 2017 saw a rise in the number of independent shops on Britain’s High Streets. Independent boutiques, like Roxtons, offer many unique and individual items that simply can’t be found elsewhere. You’ll find us in the beautiful towns of Hungerford, Haslemere, Stockbridge and Alresford …. we’re also available online, for a similar but different retail experience!
