Vacation or staycation? Don’t pack light, pack clever
Whether you are contemplating a flight to a green list country or are after a change of scene closer to home, they say, ‘Don’t pack light, pack clever’. In addition to those holiday essentials, take items that double up and work just as well in the day as the evening.
To help, we’ve started 2 lists – one for the UK and one for abroad.
Ultralight Caro jeans – great for the journey and any cooler days but still in ‘holiday mode’. For a nautical feel wear with Mat de Misane’s Breton top or go for Oui’s Tropical Blouse. Keep the Ribbed Collar Jumper by Oui close to hand for when the temperature drops. Accessorise with Le Voyage en Panier's handy crossbody bag.
Nila Ruba has the evenings sorted with her pretty full circle skirts and dresses, both very happy in a suitcase and very small too!
Storiatipic’s Elly T shirt and Reiko's classic chinos will cut it in the sand dunes, in a boat or exploring the sites.
We would take the Alaskan Maker’s wax cotton tote which will double as a bag for transporting waterproof coats (just in case, of course!) or towels and swimmers to the beach.
For easy day dresses, we love Part Two’s Inra in bright colours – breezy cotton to wear as a dress or over your bikini. Finish the look with a fedora and beach basket in natural shades.
Solve the hand luggage issue with Travaux en Cours Reversible Tote. It will easily hold the necessary items and look super-chic in the airport. Turn it inside out and hey! here’s your bag for sightseeing, the beach or beside the pool.
Diega’s Tiska top and matching trousers (also great for the flight) will look and feel amazing. As pedicures are now possible, why not pair with a pair of strappy sandals or espadrille wedges.
Wherever you go or whatever you do we wish you a fun and restful time.
