Embrace pastels & prints this Spring!
The blue hyacinths are in bloom, sunshine yellow daffodils are appearing on the roadside and the pink blossom is in the trees … with nature embracing colour isn’t it time you started to do the same with your spring wardrobe.
When it comes to fashion the two buzzwords this season are ‘pastels’ and ‘prints’.
Our favourite brands collections were all full of delicate sugar-almond shades, bringing a touch of sunshine and instantly transforming our shops from the greys and navy’s of winter to something all-together more uplifting.
We’ve found skinny jeans from our new French brand Oui in the palest peach, pair with one of our new Saint James or Maison Labiche striped T’s and sweats for perfect relaxed weekend wear.
Pastels have also invaded our more formal collections…. Bariloche’s pink striped blazers are transporting us to Henley and Tinta’s pretty prints in peach and blue are perfect for punctuating a more neutral outfit with a touch of spring.
If you think these candy colours are all a little too girlie then think again. Treat pastels in the spring and summer as just another neutral, tone down with navy, grey, black or white …. Lemon yellow chinos might seem like a step too far but team with a navy blazer and you’ve instantly got smart and spring like!
When it comes to print think big and bold! Vilagallo are the kings and queens of print and this season there’s no change there, shirts in delicate monkey prints with exquisite trims and contrast colour details and tunics in bright tropical prints perfect for taking you from beach to bar.
Pastel and Print are the perfect antidote to the long winter months of politics and plunging temperatures and we’re loving them!
