It’s at this time of year when the blossom and spring bulbs are starting to make an appearance that our thoughts turn to our wardrobes. Wool starts to give way to cotton and colour makes a comeback.  But there are a few weeks left of unpredictable temperatures and fashion limbo before we can really embrace the freedom of summer dressing.

Here are a few tips to make the winter to spring transition both smooth and stylish.

ADD SOME LAYERS: The days of ‘wrapping up’ are thankfully long gone but there’s still a nip in the air. Be prepared for all eventualities with some lightweight layers. Classic Breton tops, cotton knit cardigans and our new lightweight cashmere.

INJECT SOME COLOUR: Take a cue from nature and use some colour to get into spring. We’ve got new skinny jeans from Brax and Part Two in colours from pastel blue to scarlet. If you’re still comfortable in your winter neutrals then inject some colour with your with our printed and embroidered scarfs.

TEXTURES: Spring is all about textures. We love these trousers from Noa Noa. Heavier than you might wear in the height of summer but in fabulous bright summer colour palettes.

JACKETS AND COATS: Thankfully the tweed and down can be relegated to storage for another 6 months in favour of lighter outerwear. Isle Jacobsen’s raincoats are the perfect stylish dog walking gear. Cut to flatter but still guaranteed to keep the April showers at bay.For something more fun try a long line jacket or coat from VilaGallo. Known for their love of colour and pattern these coats will look equally as good at a Spring wedding or over jeans for every day.

COTTON AND LINEN: Spring is a time for lighter fabrics. Our new Breton tops by Armor Lux are a summer staple. If you love linen and are lucky enough to be off to enjoy some early sun, the modern twist on linen can be found in our new collection from Zyga.

NAVY: The perfect Spring neutral, navy works like black as the perfect backdrop to any pop of spring colour.
